Ryan Shupe & the Rubber Band Coming! - July 17th

That’s right. One of our favorites is joining us again.

I do have a a confession I need to make. There is a little bit of pleasure I get when I watch people line up and fight for the best seats in the theater - bumping people over, tripping each other, shoving them out of the way… So I have made all seats general admission. The night of the concert is first come, first with the best seats.

All seats are $10, with a discount of 20% if you purchase 5 seats or more.  It will be at Century High School at 7:30 pm on Friday, July 17th.

So, come and get’m. We will be posting up RSRB information on this blog, so be sure to check back or get the RSS feed.

Who hoo! Our very own Cultural Stimulus Program means lower ticket prices for you!

Hey everyone - we have great news!  It’s not just Mr. Obama who’s handing out the goodies.

Thanks to some generous financial support that Jim Band Music has received from the Intel Foundation and other community sources, we have instituted our own recession-busting “Cultural Stimulus Program” and are lowering prices on the Benton Paul / April Meservy Concert. We have switched from reserved seating to general admission, and all seats will be available for just $10 each. Even better though, starting tomorrow, and for two weeks only, patrons can purchase tickets for their whole family for just $15!

To take advantage of this amazing offer, you need to CALL US at 503-JIM-BAND (503-546-2263) and ASK.  Family-based pricing is NOT available online or anywhere else.  If we don’t pick up your call, please leave a message with your name, phone number and number of seats you would like, and we will get back to you as quickly as we can.

On the night of the concert, doors will open promptly at 7:00 pm.  Be there right on time to get the best seats.

Joe Jonas Digs Benton Paul

Hey everyone, all the pieces are coming together nicely for our May 23 concert featuring Benton Paul and April Meservy.  Maybe you are not all that familiar with Benton Paul, but Joe Jonas (you know, the Jonas Brothers!) likes Benton’s music so much that he gave Benton a “shout out” in their January world wide video chat. Joe says that Benton’s song titled “I Only See You” is a favorite. You can see this on You Tube at

Announcing our 2009 Season!

Right now, even as we speak, my staff at Jim Band Music are putting the final touches on a great season for 2009.

To start things off we have Benton Paul and April Meservy coming to play for us on Saturday, May 23rd at Century High School.

Whenever I have artists come out to play, I always ask them “who is somebody that is up and coming, and that I should keep an eye out for?”.  The name of Benton Paul kept getting mentioned, so I checked him out.  He’s good.   I’m sure you will really like him.

Since I am a big fan of doing artist mashups, I asked Benton for the name of a female artist that he likes to perform with.  There were several mentioned, but April Meservy stood out as a particularly strong vocalist.  I’ve been aware of her for a couple of years now, but didn’t think she was touring very much.  Well, lately she is, so now we have a double treat lined up for you.

I love it when a great show just sort of comes together, and I love it even more when I hear from folks like yourselves about how much you all enjoy them.
